I gravitate toward brief moments of intimacy and interlace them with emotionally charged material to a point of overwhelming confusion. I seek to illustrate memory’s tendency to mutate, vanish, and ultimately resurface from the subconscious. Shifting focal points and spatial perspectives structured by layers of transparency reflect onto themselves. My technical background in printmaking informs my process of color layering, registration, and chemical processing in my works on paper and paintings.

With the incorporation of faint text, cryptic narratives of meaningful objects and figures can be partially unraveled by the viewer. Poems and quotes function as clues and are highlighted by resists and embossing techniques to reveal themes of bitterness, desire, and rage. The floating, vibrant scenes contradict the bitter content secretly buried with each facade.
